Niles High School

Mrs. Brawley has been with the Niles District for over 30 years, both as a teacher and administrator.  Originally from Kalamazoo, she has a bachelor's degree in English/Communications/Journalism, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.  She also holds an administrator certificate in the state of Michigan.

After teaching English, Journalism and Yearbook for 15 years at NHS,  Mrs. Brawley became an assistant principal in 2000 for 11 years. She then served as an assistant principal at Ring Lardner Middle School and was principal at Oak Manor 6th Grade Center before returning as principal of Niles High School in 2016.

Mrs. Brawley and her husband Jim have two sons,  Andrew and Josh, both Niles High School graduates, and a lovely daughter-in-law Kaitlyn.  Mrs. Brawley is a Viking fan through and through and enjoys attending all the different events high school has to offer.  When not working, Mrs. Brawley enjoys vacationing to warm places, heading to the UP to the family cabin, or catching a baseball game that her husband is likely coaching. If you ask Mrs. Brawley what she loves most about her job she will always answer the same thing:  THE KIDS.
