Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Nic Hawley
7th and 8th Grade Health
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Students
Our district is using an exciting health program called the Michigan Model for Health™ which is listed on the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices. As your partners in education, the Niles Board of Education has approved the middle school curricular module of the Michigan Model.
The lessons will give your student critical health information and opportunities to build health skills that will develop life-long habits related to social and emotional health/safety, nutrition and physical activity, tobacco/alcohol and other drugs, as well as growing up/staying healthy. However, we need your help! You are your student’s first and most important teacher! Your student will be encouraged to talk to you about what he or she is learning in the classroom. By working together, schools and families can more effectively equip children to develop healthy habits and avoid health risks.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss this information further. My contact information is below.
