Hello! I am the Behavior Specialist at Ring Lardner Middle School! This will be my second year working in Niles Community Schools. I am originally from South Bend, Indiana and am still in that area. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Taylor University and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University South Bend. I have been employed by and completed my Master's practicum through Oaklawn Psychiatric Center in South Bend, working with various populations including children and adults, and in the area of addictions. I have also practiced at Memorial Children's Hospital under a social worker and staff, working with children with various developmental, mental, and emotional needs.
As a behavior specialist, the goal is to help students discover their strengths, develop and strengthen coping skills, develop healthy relationships, and manage and resolve conflict in a healthy way. I, as well as all of the staff of Ring Lardner, are here to help families find resources needed to make sure all of our students are thriving and successful!
Services Provided include: Individualized Counseling, Group Counseling, Restorative Justice Meetings, Crisis Intervention, Resourcing for Families, Consultations
Areas of Service: Academic Achievement, Social Skills, Conflict Resolution, Relationship, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Harm, Home Issues, etc.
