Ms. Debbie Shuster

Thank you for visiting my webpage.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know and work with your students.  I know each one will grow independently as well as work together as a team.

Just a little about myself----I grew up in West Virginia and worked quite a bit on our family farm and orchards.  I went to Shepherd University, a small teaching college in Shepherdstown, WV.  It is one of the oldest towns in WV and is both peaceful and beautiful.  I received my Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities/Learning Strategist at West Virginia University. And yes, I am a HUGE FOOTBALL fan of the Mountaineers!!  My daughter, Ashley, graduated from WVU in Animal Nutrition/Veterinarian Medicine.   I have two very spoiled dogs, Shena, a mixed terrier, and Rosie, a very rotten minature collie.  We also have a spoiled bunny named Libby and a turtle named Scooter.

I have been teaching in Niles since 1991.  I started at Eastside in the Lili Program and then to Oak Manor.  I taught there for 14 years before going to Ballard in 2006.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Niles kids and have seen so many of them succeed.  I welcome you to come in and see what your child is doing.  Maybe you can even lend a helping hand.  If you have any questions or if I can be of any help in regards to your child's education, please feel free to call or email.
