5th grade end of year celebration

A Niles High School graduate, I attended college at Michigan State University, Bowling Green State University and Indiana University-South Bend to complete my teaching and leadership certifications.  My teaching career began in inner-city Toledo, Ohio in 1997.  I later taught 2nd grade at Howard-Ellis and served as the Assistant Principal from 2004-2009 before becoming Principal.  I feel very blessed to work with the Howard-Ellis staff who put relationships with learners and parents first.

My husband, Jason, and I have two sons.  Dane is a 6th grader at Ring Lardner Middle School and Vaughn will be a 3rd grader at Howard-Ellis.  When we aren't at school, we can be found at Upward Soccer, Howard Township Baseball League or Buchanan Floor Hockey or raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Reseach Foundation. On Sundays, we worship at Summit Church.

Your child is just as important to me as my own.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

"Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening
to words but by experiences in the environment."
