Mrs. Janelle Sormin
I have been teaching at Howard-Ellis Elementary School since 2000. Prior to teaching first and second grade, I taught fifth grade for four years.
I have a certificate in Curriculum Development and Design and am completing my master's degree in this area. I also received my Bachelor's from Andrews University in Elementary Education.
My husband and I have been married for 18 years. We enjoy camping, canoeing, and Formula 1 racing.
Supplies: Howard School will provide necessary classroom supplies, however it is always nice to have your own personal supplies in your desk. This helps the students develop responsibility and organization. Examples of supplies would be: head phones, pencils, color pencils, crayons, scissors and glue sticks. Please NO: trapper keepers or book bags with wheels as we do not have room for them.
Snack: Please send your child to school with a healthy snack every day. One easy suggestion is a baggie of cereal.
