I began my teaching career at Howard-Ellis in 1988 teaching reading lab. Since then I have also taught first grade, primary first, kindergarten and kindergarten connection. I enjoy teaching because every day holds a new challenge and opportunity to share my love of learning with my students. I am happy to begin a new adventure at Northside. As a student, I attended Howard-Ellis and graduated from Niles High School with honors. My teaching degree is from Western Michigan University and my Master's Degree is from Indiana University. I have an additional 51 credit hours from Western Michigan University, Andrews University, and Valparaiso University. I love learning and taking new classes when possible. I have 2 children and 2 grandchild, Cal, Kayla, Sam and Jack. My children are honor graduates of Niles High School. My husband and I enjoy camping and fishing. I also enjoy reading!! During the summer I work with children from Spain helping to improve their English skills. I also am the local coordinator for F.A.C.E., a non-profit agency that works with exchange students wanting to come to the United States for an academic year.
