Thank you for your interest in Niles New Tech. We are proud of the life preparation we provide our learners and hope that you choose to join us this upcoming Fall for a dynamic experience.
To become a New Tech learner, 8th grade students simply need to declare that they want to attend Niles New Tech. Students can do this by printing the declaration form (linked to the right of this page) and returning it at one of the informational meetings. Students may also turn in the declaration form at one of the following offices: Ring Lardner, Eastside Connection School, Niles New Tech, or the high school. School of choice students can print a declaration form or visit the Niles New Tech office for one. These forms can be dropped off or mailed to the Niles New Tech office.
There are many opportunities for parents and students to attend informational meetings to gain more insight into Niles New Tech and what project-based learning is and isn't. The first meeting is in the New Tech commons on March 5th at 6:00 p.m. These meetings provide parents and students with information about project-based learning as well as a look at how a New Tech education can help position a learner for college and, ultimately, a career. To this end, nearly 50% of our learners earn college credits while in high school and others earn meaningful certifications all while honing necessary life skills like critical thinking, presentation, reflection, and collaboration. How this all fits together will be another topic that evening. To the right, you will find information about Niles New Tech, the informational meetings, the declaration timeline, along with other useful documents. If you have questions about admissions, please attend the information meetings and/or contact the New Tech Director, Jerry Holtgren or the Assistant Director Mr. Vota by phone at (269) 683-6031 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
