We provide year-round enrollment opportunity. During the school year, please visit your school to enroll. Click the link below for detailed enrollment information.
Enrollment during the summer:
- Kindergarten registration is available to families via online or a registration packet may be picked up at Niles Administration Center located at 1 Tyler Street, Niles, MI between mid-June and mid-August.
- Preschool (GSRP) enrollment and questions may be directed to Michelle Skalla at [email protected] between June and August.
- Eastside Connections School - enrollment into this building is approved by Joe Racht, Principal.
- Elementary Students registration is available to families via online or a registration packet may be picked up at Niles Administration Center located at 1 Tyler Street, Niles, MI between mid-June and mid-August.
- Middle school students should visit Ring Lardner Middle School at 801 N. 17th Street to enroll.
- High school students should visit Niles High School at 1441 Eagle Street to enroll.

Berrien County Health Dept - FREE hearing and vision testing for Preschool and Kindergarten . Free hearing and vision testing is available from June through August by appointment only.
The YMCA of Southwest Michigan also offers after school programs for Ballard Elementary, Eastside Connections School, Howard-Ellis Elementary and Northside Child Development Center. For information, click here.
GSRP Enrollment for 2024-25 school year. The enrollment packet for GSRP is not available as an online option. Inquiries about the enrollment packet can be made to: Michelle Skalla at Northside Child Development, 2020 N. 5th Street, Niles, MI 49120 or email [email protected] PLEASE NOTE: submitting an enrollment packet does not guarantee that your child is accepted in to the GSRP program as there are certain requirements/criteria that have to be met for program eligibility.
Kindergarten Registration:
Niles Community Schools is focused on addressing the needs of all learners by offering kindergarten and kinder-connections to allow children to start their school career with the most positive experiences. To be eligible for KINDERGARTEN, children must:
- Be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2024
- Have an official birth certificate
- Have vision and hearing screening
- Have proof of residency
- Have updated immunizations

Online Enrollment Packet: forms that are needed in order to enroll your student are in the electronic enrollment packet. Please complete All and sign All forms before submitting them. On the enrollment form, complete only the sections that pertain to your student. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE EMERGENCY CONTACT.

Enrollment Packet (all grades) - the forms below are non fillable and will not be submitted electronically. All forms must be completed and either mailed to: 1 Tyler Street, Niles MI 49120 or dropped off at the Administration office (formerly Oak Manor Sixth Building) 2120 20th Place, Niles, MI.
If you do not have access to the internet, registration packets can be picked up at the Niles Administration Center located at 2120 20th Place, Niles, MI, Monday - Friday 7:30a.m. to 3:00p.m. or you may request the packet be mailed to you by calling 269-683-0732.
Any medication administered at school must be accompanied by the appropriate form and signed by a physician:
There may be an instance when your child may require non-prescribed medications or topical solutions. If this occurs the following form must be completed and submitted either electronically or to your child's school building office.
